Homemade Baby Wipes

This is so easy, you're going to love it!  You need:

  • A roll of paper towels (not cheap, flimsy ones; we use Bounty)
  • Baby shampoo
  • Baby oil
  • 2 cups of warm water
  • An empty 5 quart ice cream bucket
  • A sharp knife (NOT serrated!)

Step One: Cut the roll of paper towels in half

Step Two: Remove the cardboard roll from the center of the paper towels

Step Three: Put two tablespoons of baby shampoo into the warm water

Step Four: Put two tablespoons of baby oil into the warm water mixture

Step Five: Stir the water mixture until it turns all glittery on top :)

Step Six: Place one half of the paper towel roll into the ice cream bucket

Step Seven: Pour the water mixture over the paper towels, making sure to get it in the middle and on the edges.  Pop the lid on and let it soak down through before using.

And VOILA!  You have easy, inexpensive baby wipes!  Just pull them out from the center and tear off whatever you need.  Make sure you keep the lid on between uses to keep the wipes wet.  We have two ice cream buckets, so we can do both halves of the paper towels at the same time.  And if you want some for on-the-go, just pull some out and keep them in a Ziploc storage bag.

Honestly, it took me longer to write this post than it did to make two batches of baby wipes.  :)
