March and Easter

Now that we're heading into May, I'm going to blog about March! Just a few random photos to start.

They both love to build with blocks!

Sophia has gotten really good at her drawings. This one is her Uncle Bridger.

Easter! We wrote a letter to the Easter Bunny to bring our baskets on Saturday, so that we could focus on Christ on Sunday.

We had an Easter egg hunt at Grandma and Grandpa's house, which has become an annual thing.

And of course: new Easter clothes!

Stay tuned for Elliott's birth story next!

February

We joined a neighborhood group for a tour of a local fire station. The kids had a blast!! They both love to see fire trucks and ambulances. This was a dream come true for them.

We love to goof off!

She's trying to puff out her cheeks like a hippo and smile at the same time.

He loves to choose his own outfits.

Mama and the kids caught the worst cold ever! It totally wiped us out for a week!

We watched The Good Dinosaur together.

Samuel was a little nervous, so he took turns sitting with Mama and Daddy.

Howling together.

Sophia wanted to take a picture of us looking like best friends.

Snow Day!

Birthday Girl

Sophia had a very great fifth birthday!

We surprised her with a Doc McStuffins cake. Lots of her gifts ended up being Doc McStuffins as well.

She was very excited by her gifts.

And she also loved the balloons that we get her every year.

We sure love our girl!

A Few of My Favorite Things

Making faces:

Samuel being a "pirate:"

Sophia had her Christmas dance recital in December. They danced to "A Few of My Favorite Things." She did very well, and was such a beautiful ballerina. And Samuel was fascinated to watch!

Christmas

We had a wonderful Christmas! It is so sweet to see Christmas through the eyes of children.

We decorated our tree together.

We made cut-out sugar cookies. The kids had a great time helping.

We did our traditional tree cones on Christmas Eve.

And we got to see Santa at Sophia's preschool program!

Plus, it was so adorable to hear Sophia repeat the Nativity story. "And the shepherds were Sore Afraid." She loved pretending to be an angel and shouting, "BEHOLD!!"
